Frank, great thoughts. By definition, a distraction is focus on something other than the main thing. Addiction causes the distraction. It is possible to use this theory in reverse. My dad used to say that “an idle mind is the devils workshop, and idle hands are his tools.” The apostle Paul advised us to “keep our eye on the prize, which is the calling of JC (paraphrased). So to “focus on the main thing” is to distract us from the lesser things. Thanks for your insights!
