Additional Information: Historian Tim Crowley will deliver an illustrated lecture on the pre-Christmas visit to the former Frongoch Internment Camp in Wales by twelve relatives and friends of the Lyre Volunteers who were interned there after the 1916 rising and will also talk about the St. Stephens Day walk from Clonakilty former railway station to Woodfield, retracing the steps of Michael Collins 100 years earlier. The event will take place at the Parish Centre next Wednesday 8th at 8.30pm and all are welcome. The December events were organised to mark the one hundredth anniversary of the release of the last 600 Irish prisoners. Among the group were six children and grandchildren of the Lyre Volunteers held in the prison. Included in the group were grand nephews of Harry Boland and a grand nephew of Michael Collins, who was also released at that time.
